The qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to competently test water and maintain safe bathing conditions. The STA Level 2 Award in Swimming Pool Water Treatment is intended for those who may be required to complete routine pool water testing and basic tasks to maintain safe bathing conditions.
COURSE CONTENT
The units cover the theory and practical skill of water testing, as well as key principles of pool plant operations and maintenance. The course is predominantly classroom based with exception of the practical task of performing a pool water test.

COURSE LENGTH
8 hours face-to-face over 1 day.
CERTIFICATION
Successful completion of this Pool Water Treatment qualification leads to an accredited certificate from Safety Training Awards (The Swimming Teachers' Association).
This course carries a 5-year validity period and can be revalidated before certification expiry.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Be 16 years of age
- Advisable that learners have a minimum of level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent
